I’m in love with this product , I was a little late to the party on having one, but I’m so glad I found it. I live fried food but I can’t stand the mess so I would order out, those meals get pricey after awhile so that’s another reason this product works for me. Ican purchase more fresh meat to prepare in small portions , that way I’m saving money and I get a hot fresh meal whenever I choose.
This is a large item with a relatively small basket. I'm giving it 5 stars because it works amazingly. It is very easy to use and even easier to clean.I love this thing! My son likes it so much he's taking it with him when he goes back to college in the Fall. I guess it's time to buy another!
We love chicken wings in our household and this Secura air fryer makes the best BBQ and buffalo chicken wings ever!! It is easy to clean and very easy to use, plus it has a good-sized fryer basket. We also use it to make fried chicken, fried fish, french fries and onion rings. Chicken always cooks evenly but we have learned that you cannot put too many fries or onion rings in the air fryer at once or else some will come out mushy. It may take some trial and error with some foods so make sure you invest in a digital meat thermometer (they are pretty cheap online). We plan on trying zucchini and mozzarella sticks this weekend. We really love this air fryer and for the price, you really cannot beat it!
I have now owned this for 2 years. We use it daily and some times multiple times a day. Honestly I'm surprised it has lasted this long but I do feel like it may be on its way out. That being said over 700 uses in two years and we are terrible with cleaning it, I feel like it was a good investment. I don't understand the people who say it doesn't cook French fries. Well over 500 uses of cooking Fries says otherwise. I will buy another in a heartbeat.
So we haven't gotten the hang of frying NEW stuff in it. We tried to fry onions in it for example, and the outside just fell apart, which sucked. Probably didn't follow the directions well enough.BUT it's really great as a "dry microwave". Like any frozen fried food from the store - pizza rolls, french fries, onion rings, samosas etc. If you bake those or put them in the microwave they usually get soggy (or have just the bottom side get soggy in the oven), but this makes them come out crisp in ~10 minutes without fail every time.
